We interviewed this man in a small village along the Bolivian border of Peru. This was the 8th jaguar he'd killed this year. As more and more Andean natives move from the harsh climate and over-crowded and over-worked soils of the highlands to the resource-rich Amazonian lowlands along the Interoceanic Highway, local wildlife, from apex predators like jaguars to wild pigs, are beginning to feel the pressure.
